Most Improved: Kolton Miller

Kolton Miller‘s rookie season in 2018 was by in large a disappointment after being selected No.15 overall. Ultimately, injures tampered his play during his rookie year, but many fans came down harsh after he allowed a league-high 16 sacks.

In year two expectations still remained high for the former UCLA Bruin, however, he was more suited to answer the call in 2019. Miller improved his pass blocking support — giving up seven sacks on 1,019 offensive snaps played. He also cut down his penalties this season, committing just four this year compared to the eight he was guilty for in 2018.

Miller’s protection at left tackle to go along with Trent Brown‘s stout efforts at right tackle make up one of the better tackle combinations in the league. Miller’s numbers this season indicate significant growth in year two, making him without a doubt the team’s most improved player.
