28. Seattle Seahawks: DE Curtis Weaver, Boise State

The Seahawks traded a 3rd round pick for Jadeveon Clowney, but he wasn’t as great as they’d hope since heading to the Northwest. Even if they retain Clowney, they will still need to fill the other edge spot. Curtis Weaver of Boise State is not very stout against the run but does need to improve his pass-rushing skills.

Although his combined sacks (14) and hits (12) are three more than anyone else in college football, he doesn’t have the flexibility and bend that you need at the next level. If he can improve this part of his game, he can be a really solid piece for this defense.

29. Kansas City Chiefs: RB J.K. Dobbins, Ohio State

The Kansas City Chiefs have improved tremendously on defense over the past year and although they could draft to keep improving, one of the biggest disappointments of this team has been their lack of explosiveness in the run game. If they decide to upgrade there, might as well get the best running back in college football, Ohio State’s JK Dobbins

The Raiders drafted Josh Jacobs, and he was an instant game-changer for the organization. Dobbins will have the same impact. Dobbins rushed for over 2000 yards in 2019, to go along with 21 rushing touchdowns. The explosiveness is there, and he will take this Chiefs offense to the next level.

30. Green Bay Packers: DL Marvin Wilson, FSU

The Green Bay Packers have the Smith Brothers on the outside who have been a force to reckon with, but their inside hasn’t provided the same energy. Kenny Clark has been decent, but this defensive unit is lacking some real power on the inside, so it would make sense to draft Marvin Wilson out of Florida State.

In 2019, Wilson had 44 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, four passes defended and a forced fumble. He has been a disruptive presence, showing pass-rushing potential, strength, quickness, and athleticism. If this unit can get more production out of 2019 first-round DE Rashaan Gary, the 5-man rotation with Wilson would be deadly.

31. San Francisco 49ers: TE Hunter Bryant, Washington

The San Francisco 49ers are one of the league’s best teams, but they can definitely upgrade their offense by selecting the best tight end in this draft, Hunter Bryant from Washington. Kyle Shanahan runs an offense that uses multiple tight ends, and Bryant would be a nice fit alongside George Kittle. At 6-foot-3, 250 pounds Hunter moves more like a wide receiver than a tight end but can still block.

32. Baltimore Ravens: WR Laviska Shenault Jr, Colorado

What more could you do if you are the Baltimore Ravens? You have one of the best offenses and one of the best defenses. But there are some improvements that this team can make on offense. Lamar Jackson will most likely not put up his 2019 numbers again in 2020.

Like teams started to do towards the end of the year, they will force him to throw it more and keep two safeties over the top to eliminate big plays. In order to stay ahead, the Ravens should draft another wide receiver, one that can make the same catches across the middle of the field that his tight ends do.

Next. Oakland Raiders 2010s All-Decade Team: Defense and Specialists. dark

One player slated for the first round is Laviska Shenault Jr. from Colorado. Shenault didn’t produce quite like he did in 2018,  however, he was in the conversation for the Biletnikoff Award as a true sophomore, after hauling in 87 passes for 1,019 yards and breaking 29 tackles in the process. He should fit right into this offense on the outside of Hollywood Brown.
