As we officially enter the draft season for the Las Vegas Raiders, the first event up is the East-West Shrine Game, and some prospects are making a nice impression.

The Senior Bowl is only a couple days away from its first practice, but before we get to that, let us not forget what has already been going this week, and that is the East-West Shrine Practice. The game will take place at noon tomorrow and could feature some future Raiders.

This event doesn’t usually host many of the high-end players most of us have heard of, but this is were the scouts really put their ability to the test and see if they can find a gem in the later rounds that can prove to be a real contributor.

For the Raiders, they found great success in the later rounds in 2019 with guys like Maxx Crosby, Foster Moreau, and Hunter Renfrow. So this is not a portion of the process the front office takes easy, and they’ll be looking to continue that in 2020.

There have been a few players that have stood out on both sides of the ball that could address areas of need for Jon Gruden. We saw the lack of depth get exposed when the team suffered some injuries in 2019, and these prospects could be the answer to that problem.
