Las Vegas Raiders: Prospects to know from the East-West Shrine Practices
Chris Williamson, CB Minnesota
A player that had people talking from the get-go on day one was Chris Williamson from Minnesota. He impressed in one-on-one drills with his physicality and ability to attack the ball in the air. And he has been able to maintain a stable level of play throughout the week.
Williams is a Florida transfer, so there could still be some untapped potential that could make him a value pick on day three. In addition to being a good cover guy, he is also adept at coming up and making plays behind the backfield, and the Raiders love their physical corners.
The Raiders need depth throughout their secondary, so a player like Williamson is undoubtedly in play. Trayvon Mullen in the second round may have netted the team their CB1 moving forward, but this is a position group that is very young, and the combination of Mayock and Gruden are going to continue to look for more talent to add to it this offseason.
