Las Vegas Raiders: Prospects to know from the East-West Shrine Practices
Dele Harding, LB Illinois
Linebacker is another position where the Raiders could end up double-dipping in the draft, and a player like Dele Harding might be what they need. Harding had a monster senior season at Illinois with 149 total tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 3 interceptions, and 2 forced fumbles.
All of which earned him First-Team All-Big Ten honors.
He is a bit undersized at 6β1 and 230 lbs, but he has reportedly shown vast range and physicality all week. And with him showing the ability to make plays in the passing game during the season, he worth a look as a sub-package player.
The Raiders linebackers struggled big time in the passing game this past season, as they did not record a single interception, and had issues covering tight ends. Look for Mayock to target this position group via the NFL Draft, and free agency, and in Harding, they could find a gem late in the 2020 NFL Draft.
