The Oakland Raiders found some elite talent in the 2019 Senior Bowl, and here are four prospects to keep an eye on in this year’s game.

The Senior Bowl is a great place to evaluate some of the up and coming prospects that are entering the NFL Draft, and last year, the Oakland Raiders coaching staff got to coach in the game. Thanks to that, the team was able to find some gems not only in the draft, but also as undrafted rookie free agents, paving the way for their monster 2019 rookie class.

Not only is the game great for general managers, scouts, and coaches, but it also gives the fans a first look at some players they may not have been able to watch this season.

More importantly it is a great place for these seniors and red shirt juniors to showcase their talent against their piers also trying boost their draft stock. The Senior Bowl has proven to be very beneficial for these players and boast some pretty impressive numbers as they relate to people getting drafted.

Just last year, 93 of the athletes that attended were drafted in the 2019 NFL Draft, 40 of them being drafted in the first three rounds and ten of those 40 went in the first round.

As we stated earlier, Jon Gruden and his coaching staff were tasked with coaching the North team. We witnessed how their time there helped produced what is considered the Raiders best draft class in years, and arguably one of the best producing draft classes in the last decade.

Of the nine total players the Raiders drafted in 2019, four of them attended and played in the Senior Bowl. Ironically enough all 4 of those players played for the apposing South team. They included Johnathan Abram (27 overall), Isaiah Johnson (129 overall), Foster Moreau (137 overall), and Hunter Renfrow (149 overall).

It is also important to note that two of Jon Grudens players from the North team were added as undrafted free agents in Alec Ingold and Keelan Doss.

As senior bowl week starts, the rosters have been finalized, and practices get underway, there’s no doubt that there is a lot of talent in place for both teams. Here are 4 players I believe the Raiders could potentially target on day 2 of the draft, and that Raider Nation should keep an eye on when the game kicks off Saturday January 25th.
