Grade and Recap

Overall, it was a very successful year for Oakland’s backfield in 2019. In their first seasons, Josh Jacobs and Alec Ingold emerged as two of the best at their respective positions and will be building blocks for the franchise moving forward. DeAndre Washington put together a solid performance as the number two option and put together a strong case to return next year.

Of course, decisions will need to be made and that might result in Jalen Richard playing elsewhere, but it could a welcomed change as the team may finally end their year-long search for another bruising back. The stage is set for another big year in 2020 and now, the question is can the guys on the roster replicate their efforts from the year before?

As the team heads to Vegas, the need for star power will be there, and they certainly have a star at running back in Jacobs. The incredible thing is that he did all of that damage with a fractured shoulder, and in 2020, you have to figure he is going to be more of a part of the passing game as well.
