It is difficult to gauge where a cornerback will go in the NFL Draft, as shown last year by the falling of projected top corner Greedy Williams of LSU. With that being said, it is very possible that Damon Arnette of Ohio State falls to the Raiders in the third round this April, which would be a best-case scenario.

Arnette would work great in the Raiders system with his ability to play zone coverage, as well as playing tight in man when needed. Along with the ability to cover, Arnette does something that many of the top corners in college football cannot do, which is tackle.

Last year, the Raiders were able to get Clemson’s Trayvon Mullen in the second round, and teaming him with Arnette would make their young, talented cornerback group even better. Remember, Mullen showed towards the end of the season that he can be a true CB1, and with Arnette on the other side, Daryl Worley can move into the nickel corner role, where he is best suited.
