Sports Illustrated, Kevin Hanson

  • Round 1, Pick No. 12: Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama
  • Round 1, Pick No. 19: Kenneth Murray, LB, Oklahoma

Sports Illustrated released their latest mock draft this past week, and like SB Nation, they like the Raiders to roll the dice on Alabama wideout Jerry Jeudy with the No. 12 overall pick. Kevin Hanson has one of the more logical mock drafts for the Raiders we have seen this week, as he not only has them addressing wide receiver with Jeudy, but also linebacker with Kenneth Murray from Oklahoma.

Murray to the Raiders is a selection we are seeing across the board, as he checks off so many boxes for the Silver and Black, filling an immediate need on defense. This is a defense that was downright atrocious this past season, and you have to think that the linebacker group as a whole is on notice as we enter the offseason, as Mayock has already stated they need help.

Having multiple first round picks is definitely a luxury, and it will all be based on whether or not this team is comfortable with Derek Carr as the quarterback moving forward. In my opinion, they build around him this offseason, giving him one more season as the starter, but if the wins don’t come in 2020, they will look to go a different route in 2021 and beyond.
