Raiders trade down so Buccaneers can get their quarterback

Why?

There are a few teams in the NFL this season that may be looking to draft a quarterback this April, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are one of them. If they want to move up to take a quarterback, they could trade with the Raiders, while adding a third-round pick to make it worth the Raiders while. After throwing a ton of interceptions in 2019, the Bucs may be willing to part ways with former No. 1 overall pick Jameis Winston.

How it makes sense.

The Buccaneers have the 14th pick of the draft, while the Indianapolis Colts have the 13th, and both teams are in need of change at the quarterback position. Indianapolis has been non-committal in terms of Jacoby Brissett being the franchise guy moving forward, so a quarterback is definitely in play for them this offseason whether it is in free agency, or via the draft.

If the Buccaneers want to move in front of the Colts, while giving away as little as possible, they could trade first-round picks with the Raiders, who just happen to sit one pick in front of the Colts this April. Of course, all of this is contingent on how the top-10 goes, but there is a lot of quarterback talent in this draft, with a few names that are creeping into first round conversation since the Senior Bowl practices kicked off.
