Raiders trade back in Round 1, adding a third round pick
Why?
There is a good chance the Raiders trade back with their second first-round pick, especially with the wide receiver depth in this draft class. The Dolphins, on the other hand, may badly want a player late in the first round that they cannot get unless they move up, as they are in the middle of a full rebuild. The Dolphins have so many picks in this draft that giving up a third-round pick is nothing to them.
How it makes sense
The Raiders move back a few picks while adding a third-round pick, while the Dolphins move up, get the guy they want to go along with their other two first-round picks, and although they do lose a third-round pick, they still have ten picks in this draft. In addition, Miami has multiple first round picks in the 2021 NFL Draft, thanks to all the trades they made for their star players this past season.
Miami actually played very hard under first-year head coach Brian Flores this past season, and with actually talent on his roster, he should be able to win some games. Remember the AFC East should be wide open next season, and Miami is slowly stacking talent to be a contender in the division in years to come.
