3 Pros and Cons to the Las Vegas Raiders signing Tom Brady
By Nick Ellis
Pro: Brady could attract other big-name free agents
One con that I previously stated was that Brady would be so expensive that it could be hard to pay for other players. On the other hand, players could be more attracted to play in Las Vegas if Brady is there, and remember, there is no state tax.
With the addition of Brady, the Raiders will surely bring in some other veterans that want to play with Brady, as well as some of Brady’s former teammates. The question is, will players come to Vegas for less money for the chance to play with him?
New England had no true WR1 this past season, and the Las Vegas Raiders enter the offseason with a glaring hole atop the depth chart at the position as well. Sure, they hold the No. 12 and 19 overall pick in a loaded wide receiver draft class, but would Brady want to play with younger players at this stage in his career.
If he does come, the Raiders better get him some veterans on the outside.
