The NFL is a what-have-you-done-for-me-lately league but what about some players who could add value to the 2020 Las Vegas Raiders to get to the playoffs?

The Raiders had a tough season with multiple games where they had a chance to take control of their playoff hopes, but came up short or didn’t make enough plays, particularly the Tennessee Titans game comes to mind. They also showed the weaknesses of the team overall in those losses.

I stated at the beginning of the season my biggest concern was the lack of linebacker depth, which turned out to be an Achilles heel for the team all season long, – especially after the Vontaze Burfict suspension.

Even with the offense struggling at time, the defense needs the most help as the Raiders enter the 2020 offseason. The Raiders have moved to a new city and with that comes a new stadium and possibly a new defense. The Raiders finished in the bottom ten of defense and the bottom half of offense.

However, even with the struggling of the team overall, they had bright spots. Both Josh Jacobs and Maxx Crosby had Pro-Bowl caliber seasons, while Crosby and Jacobs were both snubbed from their respective Defensive Rookie of the Year and Offensive Rookie of the Year awards, more-so Jacobs, as the 49ers Joey Bosa was always going to win the DROTY award with the season he had.

Even with all the talk of the draft picks the Las Vegas Raiders have compiled, no one seems to talk about the money they have to spend in free agency and the defensive talent this year. With that being said, here are three free agents on defense who the Raiders should target.
