Re-drafting the Oakland Raiders 2019 NFL Draft class
By Nick Ellis
Round 1 Pick 4: Devin Bush, LB, Michigan
Original Pick: Clelin Ferrell, DE, Clemson
When the Raiders selected Clelin Ferrell with the fourth pick of the NFL Draft, Raider Nation, along with the NFL world, was shocked. Ferrell by no means had a bad rookie season, but he did not perform to the standard of a fourth overall pick.
Most people would probably have the Raiders drafting outside linebacker Josh Allen here, but I believe if Mike Mayock had a second chance at this, he should pick Michigan linebacker Devin Bush. Bush proved to be a gamechanger for the Steelers defense and would fill a void the Raiders have had for years.
Bush can not only tackle and force fumbles, he also has the speed and athleticism to play coverage, bringing in two interceptions this year on top of 109 tackles. With Bush, the Raiders would no longer have to look for a well-rounded linebacker.
