Round 1 Pick 24: Josh Jacobs, RB, Alabama

Original Pick: Josh Jacobs, RB, Alabama

The Raiders got this pick right as Josh Jacobs was a top candidate for Offensive Rookie of the Year this season. Josh Jacobs brought something to the Raiders offense that they have not had for a long time, and he is only getting started.

In just 13 games, many of those played through injury, Jacobs recorded 1,150 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in his rookie season. If Jacobs can stay healthy, and the Raiders can find a way to use him more in the passing game, Jacobs could become the best back in the NFL. I would be surprised if anyone would want to change this pick.

In addition to his incredible production, Jacobs also set numerous records, and many felt he was the odds-on favorite to win the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year honor. Incredibly, he accomplished all of this despite the fact he played with a fractured shoulder for half of his rookie season.
