Round 4 Pick 137: Hunter Renfrow, WR, Clemson
Original Pick: Foster Moreau, TE, LSU
The Raiders originally selected Moreau here, but in the re-draft, we took him a bit earlier to get better players later. This same logic applies here, as the Raiders select Hunter Renfrow a round earlier than before.
Renfrow, like Moreau, was Mr. Reliable for Derek Carr when he needed somewhere to go. Despite facing injury, Renfrow recorded 605 yards and four touchdowns, and did a lot of his damage late in the season, recording back-to-back 100-yard games.
Coming into the league, we knew that Renfrow had incredible hands, but he proved to be an automatic weapon on third down for Carr and this offense as a rookie. In 2020, he will return to be the main slot guy on this Raiders offense, and heading into his second season in the NFL, one can only expect that this kid is going to get better and better.
