Ranked 29th in interceptions

The Raiders were one of the worst teams in the NFL when it came to forcing turnovers, especially intercepting passing. The Raiders only intercepted the ball nine times in 2019, ranking 29th in the NFL and last in their division.

In comparison, Stephon Gilmore of the New England Patriots recorded six interceptions alone in 2019. Only one player on the Raiders recorded more than one interception in 2019, and that was Erik Harris, who recorded three. This defensive backfield is very young, including guys like Trayvon Mullen and Daryl Worley, both who should continue to progress in 2020.

The Raiders need a playmaking defensive back who can be a ball hawk and come up big for the defense late in the game. There are some good prospects in the 2020 draft, especially guys like Trevon Diggs, C.J. Henderson, and Bryce Hall, all of whom could step in and start right away on this defense.
