5 reasons the Las Vegas Raiders should go all defense in the first round

Ranked 26th in points allowed
The Raiders defense struggled to stop teams from reaching the end zone in 2019, allowing 24.9 points per game, ranking them 26th in the league, and once again, last in their division. Whether the Raiders add offensive weapons or not, it will not matter if the defense can not step up and stop some of the young offensive stars that are currently in the AFC.
Although the Raiders are not expected to be a top defense anytime soon, allowing twice as many points per game as the New England Patriots is absurd and should be enough of a stat for fans to realize that addressing the defense is more important than adding a wide receiver in the first round. It really does not matter who lines up on offense for the Raiders in 2020 if the defense does not get better.
The secondary is young, and they were very beatable far too often in 2019, and while the defensive line improved, they need to get more pressure on the quarterback. In addition, the linebacker group cannot cover, so the smart move would be to try and improve some of these areas in the first round, and grab a wide receiver later on.
