Defensive Line

Defensive End: Maxx Crosby

Maxx Crosby turned out to be the steal of the entire draft last season, recording ten sacks and becoming an NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year candidate. Crosby should be able to improve upon his rookie season and continue to be the best player in the Raiders defense for years to come.

Defensive Tackle: Maurice Hurst

Maurice Hurst has improved year after year, being a big part in the Raiders run defense, as well as being the team’s best interior pass rusher. Hurst may be the team’s most underrated player as he performs well game after game. Look for him to continue to improve.

Defensive Tackle: D.J. Reader (Free Agent)

Former Texans defensive tackle DJ Reader is set to hit free agency this offseason, and the Raiders should look to sign him. Reader is 327 pounds at just 25-years old and would be a massive pickup for the silver and black.

Reader may not be the best pass rusher, but his size makes him great in run defense and would be a great addition to an already solid defensive tackle group.

Defensive End: Clelin Ferrell

Clelin Ferrell had an underwhelming rookie year considering where he was drafted, but it was clear that he was improving week after week, and with a bit more muscle on him, Ferrell has the potential to be a force in the league. Ferrell recorded 4.5 sacks in his rookie year, a number that should jump quite a bit in 2020.
