Kyle Dugger – Safety, Lenoir-Rhyne

If you’ve been following the draft closely this offseason, Kyle Dugger has probably crossed over into the territory of being called under the radar so much that he actually isn’t anymore. However, if you’re just getting into the draft, Dugger is prospects that will be new to you, and the combine could be where he makes his name known to everyone.

Safety out of Lenoir-Rhyne University, Dugger is in the mold of what teams are looking for in today’s game. A hybrid prospect capable of playing all over the field and being a matchup piece for the defense. Dugger already showed he could keep pace and even surpass D-1 level athletes when he has at the Senior Bowl, and many draft analysts believe he could test off the charts in Indianapolis.

He measured in at 6’2 and 215lbs in Mobile, and Dugger himself says he expects to run in the 4.3s. Now players always think highly of themselves and how they will test, but sub 4.4 is plenty good and could jump him from an unknown into the top 40 discussions. And when you watch clips of him, the explosion and overall athleticism are very evident, so he will hopefully confirm that at the combine.

Our Nick Cothrel broke down Dugger a few days ago and explained why he fits the Raiders, so be sure to check that out.
