Justin Strnad – Linebacker, Wake Forest

The Raiders require speed at linebacker, and Wake Forest’s Justin Strnad could be a name that jumps on the radar after the Combine. The Combine is a great opportunity for players from smaller programs to make a name for themselves before the draft, and that could certainly be the case for Strnad.

Watching only the limited videos of Strnad, his athleticism is apparent, and he looks like safety when moving in space. He is currently all over the place when it comes round projections, so it is hard to get a sense of just where analysts think he’ll go.

Though it seems like he is exactly what the league is looking for in terms of a fluid 2nd level defender who is comfortable in space. If he can show that explosiveness and speed at the combine, he should get a bit more attention from teams. And for the Raiders, in particular, he is someone they should definitely keep an eye on.
