Donovan Peoples-Jones – Wide Receiver, Michigan
Coming out of high school, Donovan Peoples-Jones was the number one receiver in the country and seemed destined to be a top draft pick. However, inconsistent quarterback play along with inconsistent play from Peoples-Jones himself at Michigan has him seemingly further down the draft boards than once expected.
The Combine is an excellent opportunity for Peoples-Jones to remind people (no pun intended) why he was so highly thought of coming out of high school. He isn’t the most explosive athlete, but his vertical and top speed could be what moves him up. And in terms of on the field, he offered good yards after catch ability and was a punt returner during his time at Michigan.
For a team like the Raiders who need receiver help, perhaps Peoples-Jones is worth a look. Remember, the Raiders hold three third round picks this April, and if they decide to address other needs with their two first round picks, he could be in play between picks 80 and 91.
