CBS Sports – Chris Trapasso

Do you like Oklahoma?

Well, if you don’t, get used to it because if CBS Sports” Chris Trapasso mock draft becomes a reality, then the Raiders will be adding two Sooners in the first round.

#12 CeeDee Lamb – WR, Oklahoma

As we said earlier, when it comes to the number one receiver in the draft, it is either Jerry Jeudy or CeeDee Lamb. If both are available, it will be up to preference for Las Vegas, but as far as Lamb, the Raiders would be getting a special playmaker.

Lamb became the go-to target in 2019 with Hollywood Brown moving on to the NFL, and all he did was have career highs in receiving yards, yards per catch, and touchdowns. Lamb has elite ball skills with the ability to consistently win contested-catches and showed this year he is also capable of being very dangerous in yards after the catch.

Lamb’s speed is going to be the primary concern to evaluate given he didn’t face elite secondary play in the big 12, but he is still without a doubt a top prospect and would be an excellent selection for Las Vegas.

#19 Kenneth Murray – LB, Oklahoma

The Raiders address their two most significant needs with just one school, as Trapasso has the Raiders taking Kenneth Murray. The main thing with Murray is his downhill explosiveness, and once he gets to the ball-carrier, he comes with tremendous physicality and hit power. If drafted, he would give Las Vegas a player who can fly sideline and sideline, which is something they desperately need.

Now the issue with Murray is his play recognition as he can be misdirected quite often because he is so eager to get downhill in a hurry. And he will need to take on blocks better if he is going to play in the middle. A move to weak-side linebacker might be a safer move to start his career so Murray can play more to his strengths, but regardless he would add a new dimension to the team.
