For as good as the Las Vegas Raiders 2019 NFL Draft class was as rookies, expect them to be even more impactful this upcoming season.

The Oakland Raiders final draft class in the Bay Area was a special one, as general manager Mike Mayock utilized his early draft capital to bring in players who will be cornerstones of this franchise for years to come. Instead of trading away the picks, Mayock held on to all three, and that could prove the most beneficial to the franchise moving forward.

Of course, drafts are won and lost after the first round, and in 2019, Mayock used his picks outside of the first round to bring in some incredibly talented players. Guys like Trayvon Mullen, Maxx Crosby, and Hunter Renfrow all proved to be invaluable to the Raiders as rookies, and we are just seeing flashes of what they can become.

In addition, guys like Foster Moreau and Isaiah Johnson should both play key roles for this franchise moving forward, as Moreau showed in 2019 that he can be a fantastic red zone target. Johnson spent most of his rookie season on the shelf, but in a position group that needs help in 2020, he will get his opportunity.

While his three first round picks should all be impact players, his work outside of the first round was even more impressive, and this strong group is just getting started.
