The 2020 NFL Combine will kick off their workouts on Thursday, February 27, and here is the list of position groups by day.

Heading into the 2020 NFL Draft season, the Las Vegas Raiders have a ton of draft capital, and are coming off a 2019 NFL Draft that saw them get better at a number of positions. Holding three first round draft picks, first-year general manager Mike Mayock worked his magic, bringing in talented players early, and then hitting home runs in the fourth and fifth rounds.

This April, the Raiders will once again have multiple first round picks, as they currently hold the No. 12 and No. 19 overall selections. With needs at wide receiver, linebacker, and cornerback to  name a few, Mayock and head coach Jon Gruden will be busy breaking down all the prospects available in this draft class, and it all starts this week.

The best players in college football will descend on Lucas Oil Stadium this week to take part in the 2020 NFL Combine, where they will look to improve their draft stock. Players will go through bench press starting on Wednesday, and then the positional group workouts will begin on Thursday with the quarterbacks and the wide receivers.

The 2020 NFL Draft is right around the corner, and this will be most people’s first look at some of the best the class has to offer.

Here is the schedule of events based on position group

  • Thursday, February 27: 3:30PM, Quarterbacks and Wide Receivers
  • Friday, February 28: 5:30PM, Running Backs
  • Saturday, February 29: 2:00PM, Defensive Line and Linebackers
  • Sunday, March 1: 12:00PM, Defensive Backs

Based on the Raiders needs, the weekend should be quite interesting, as linebacker and cornerback are the biggest areas  to upgrade on the defensive side of the ball. Of course, all offensive eyes will be locked in on Thursday, due to the fact the Raiders are looking for a legitimate WR1, and many fans want an upgrade over quarterback Derek Carr.

Of course, the NFL Combine is very important for these prospects looking to move up in the draft pecking order, but there have been those who have performed very well at the event, and then flamed out in the league. For the Raiders, who hold five picks in the first 91 selections, this is another huge draft, so buckle up and get ready for an exciting couple of days.
