Current Wide Receivers

Looking at the current wide receivers on the Raiders roster, there is a ton of youth, and a few players who are going to definitely play a role in 2020. Two guys who stand out are Tyrell Williams and Hunter Renfrow, who both had their moments this past season, and will be in their perfect roles on this team this Fall.

Williams was asked to move into the WR1 role after the Antonio Brown issues, and while he played well early on, injuries really derailed his season. Still, moving him to the WR2 role, where he is an elite player, will make this depth chart significantly better, and we have all seen the kind of deep threat ability he can have when he is in the right position.

Renfrow became automatic from the slot late in the season, and when it came to third downs, quarterback Derek Carr knew he had someone he could count on to get the tough yards. In 2020, look for him to expand that role, and after posting back-to-back 100-yard games to close the season, he is every bit the part of a legitimate playmaker at the NFL level.

In addition, guys like Rico Gafford, Marcell Ateman, Keelan Doss, and Zay Jones will all get an opportunity to make this roster this Summer. Jones was traded for during the 2019 season, and is a former second round pick, while Gafford, Ateman, and Doss are all fan-favorites who have the ability to play a depth role on this roster moving forward.
