While the top quarterback in the 2020 NFL Draft decided to sit out on-field drills at the Combine, other quarterbacks took the opportunity and ran with it.

The number one ranked quarterback in the class and potentially the top pick in this years draft, Joe Burrow declined to participate in the on field workouts during the 2020 NFL Combine.  Despite his absence, the other top ranked players at the position opted to run, jump, and throw.

Justin Herbert followed up his stellar week at the Senior Bowl with another very good night at the combine.  Herbert threw the ball well in the route throwing session and showed off his athleticism with a 4.69 time in the forty, while weighing in at 236 pounds.

There is plenty of speculation surrounding the quarterback position for the Raiders.  Tom Brady has been linked to the Raiders as a possible landing spot should be make it to free agency.  If they should decide to pass on Brady and roll with Derek Carr another season, taking a flier on developmental guy like Jalen Hurts in round three would be an intriguing option.

Hurts needs some polish but he has the athleticism of the modern day NFL quarterback, as well as high character and the leadership qualities you’d like to see in your quarterback.

Here is a breakdown of some of the key categories for the quarterbacks Thursday.
