Running Back

A.J. Dillon, Boston College, Jr

  • Height: 6’0″
  • Weight: 247
  • 40-Yard Dash: 4.53 (10th)
  • Bench Press: 23 (5th)
  • Vertical Jump: 41.0 (1st)
  • Broad Jump: 131.0 (1st)
  • 3-Cone: 7.19 (10th)

A.J. Dillon may not blow you away with his straight line speed but keep in mind he is a bruiser at 247 pounds.  His burst and explosion as a running back is evident with his vertical and broad jumps which ranked him first in both categories.

What’s interesting is his 41 inch vertical is the same as Saquan Barkley and his broad jump ties him for second best in the last five years. There is no doubt that this kid is an incredible athlete, and he was extremely productive during his time in college.

Dillon was a true bell-cow for Boston College in 2019 carrying the ball 318 times for 1,685 yards and 14 touchdowns.  His future in the NFL could be as a short yardage, change of pace back, but there is no doubt that he is going to get a look this April, and could be a touchdown machine at the next level.
