The Las Vegas Raiders have a long list of needs that must be addressed this offseason and several positions should be targeted in both free agency and the draft.

The Raiders were predicted to win just six games in the 2019 season by oddsmakers so by that measurement they exceeded expectations when they ended the year at 7-9. If you include the robbery at the Oakland Coliseum against the Jaguars then 8-8 would have been even more impressive considering preseason expectations.

While 7-9 is not that impressive of a record it is a solid achievement for a team that was sorely lacking talent in 2018 and lost their major veteran addition before the season even kicked off in Antonio Brown and one of their two top picks in Jonathan Abram after Week 1.

If the Raiders are to build on the momentum of 2019 they will need to fill a number of positions through both the NFL Draft and free agency. As of the first week of March, the Raiders have seven picks in the draft (two firsts, three thirds, one fourth, and one seventh) and are 12th in cap space with $50.3 million available. Both the number of picks and cap space available could vary widely in the coming months but even as is the Raiders in prime position to make a splash via both avenues.

With that in mind let’s take a look at which positions the Raiders should target using both draft and salary capital in order of importance.
