KR/PR/WR Dwayne Harris

Jon Gruden loves his veterans and he clearly loves Dwayne Harris but it may be time to cut the cord on the veteran return specialist. Harris was excellent for a poor Raiders team in 2018 and had a vice grip on the return job in 2019 but an ankle injury cut his season short after just three weeks.

His incredible punt return for a touchdown against the Broncos in what we thought was the final game in Oakland at the time will be one of the great regular season memories in recent years but he has done little else since that moment.

Harris may still be good enough to return kicks and punts for the Raiders in 2020 but this is a position that teams should not pay more than the bare minimum for unless you have a truly transcendent talent back there.

The Raiders will be looking to get younger at the position in 2020 and it may be time for Harris to hang up the cleats as he will be 33-years-old looking for a job in a young man’s position.
