Safety

Kyle Dugger, Lenoir-Rhyne, Sr

  • Height: 6’1″
  • Weight: 217
  • 40-Yard Dash: 4.49 (6th)
  • Bench Press: 17 (11th)
  • Vertical Jump: 42.0 (1st)
  • Broad Jump: 134.0 (2nd)

If you are not aware of who Kyle Dugger is do yourself a favor and get familiar with him. Dugger has absurd length with 10 3/8 inch hands, 32 7/8 inch arms and a wingspan of 78 1/2 inches.  Combine that with great speed and burst and you have the makings of a big time NFL prospect.

Yes, Dugger attended a division II program so there may be some questions about the talent level he faced on a week in and week out basis.  That being said he stood out on the practice field during the week at the Senior Bowl.

Jeremy Chinn, Southern Illinois, Sr

  • Height: 6’3″
  • Weight: 221
  • 40-Yard Dash: 4.45 (3rd)
  • Bench Press: 20 (5th)
  • Vertical Jump: 41.0 (2nd)
  • Broad Jump: 138.0 (1st)

From an overall rankings standpoint, you can argue that Jeremy Chinn dominated his position group more than anyone at the combine not named Tristan Wirfs. A top-5 finisher in the 40-yard dash, bench, vertical and broad jumps, this kid is a flat out athlete, and has the perfect build to be a standout safety at the NFL level.

Chinn who earned Associated Press All-American second team honors is a aggressive, physical safety who has the above average cover skills.  His niche in the NFL could be as a big nickel.  His combination of size, speed, strength, and cover ability can be utilized against tight ends in sub packages.
