Who’s Back

Richie Incognito

The first free agent to be brought back was Richie Incognito, who was signed to an extension after a tremendous first season in the Silver and Black. Incognito was given two more years with the team, and based on what we saw during the 2019 season, he still has a lot left in the tank heading into the new campaign.

Nathan Peterman

Likely the Raiders No. 3 quarterback this season, the Raiders tendered Nathan Peterman on Monday. Las Vegas gave him an original round tender, which means if another team signs him away, the team would receive a fifth-round pick.

Jalen Richard

The Raiders had a decision to make in terms of a backup running back in 2020, as both Jalen Richard and DeAndre Washington were slated to hit free agency. It was Richard who was brought back immediately, as the team locked him up for two-year contract extension. Richard is one of the better pass-catching running backs in the league.

6 Exclusive Rights Free Agents

Last week, the Raiders brought back six players who were exclusive rights free agents, including fan favorite wide receiver Keelan Doss. Also included in the six were two very important special teams pieces, kicker Daniel Carlson, who had a rough first full season with the Raiders, and long snapper Trent Sieg.

David Sharpe

The Raiders placed an original round tender on David Sharpe, who is a solid option as a swing tackle for this offense. Sharpe was drafted in the fourth round back in 2017, and has spent some time with the Houston Texans as well as the Raiders.

Nicholas Morrow

The Raiders originally placed an original round tender on linebacker Nicholas Morrow, who played in all 16 games for the team last season, making eight starts. Morrow gets a big pay raise thanks to the team switching it to a second-round tender, and with that, you can expect he remains with the team in 2020.

Rod Smith, Running Back

The Raiders have brought back a veteran running back, and special teams guy, agreeing with Rod Smith on a one-year deal. Smith is a steady player, and a valuable member of this roster, after appearing in three games for the team last season. This signing makes you wonder if DeAndre Washington is coming back.
