Five Raiders players and legends you’d want to be quarantined with
1. John Madden
If Al Davis was still alive he would be the clear number one choice but who would be a better backup than the greatest coach in Raiders history? John Madden was the coach of the Oakland Raiders for 10 years, made the final AFL Championship game, never finished below .500, won the division title seven times, made the AFC Championship Game five times, and won Super Bowl XI in 1976. Were it not for the great Pittsburgh Steelers teams of the 1970s he may have won at least two more Super Bowls.
He coached some of the greatest players in Raiders history like Ted Hendricks, Ken Stabler, Jim Otto, and countless more. If we thought Amy Trask or Rich Gannon had great stories, John Madden is like an encyclopedia of the Raiders and the NFL in general.
In addition to spending weeks talking about the glory days of the Raiders and Al Davis when he was young and spry, we could just as much time talking about the decades of football that he covered as a broadcaster. Madden is one of the all-time personalities in the history of the game and his enthusiasm for all things football would make him a great quarantine companion, even at his advanced age.
