17. Dallas Cowboys: CB, C.J. Henderson, Florida

Previous Pick: C.J. Henderson

No change with this pick for the Cowboys. There were a lot of mouths to feed in big D, as a result they could not retain everyone.  Robert Quinn, Maliek Collins, Bryon Jones, and Jeff Heath were all allowed to hit the open market, so the defense will need some upgrades via the 2020 NFL Draft this April.

C.J.Henderson will step in as the immediate replacement for Bryon Jones.  After Jeffrey Okudah, Henderson is the clear cut number two corner in the draft. Henderson can mirror and match with the best of them and at 6’1, 204 pounds has the size to defend taller receivers.

18. Miami Dolphins: OT, Josh Jones, Houston

Previous Pick: Josh Jones

The Dolphins grab their franchise quarterback in Tua Tagovailoa with the No. 5 overall pick, and the next priority is to protect that investment. This is a draft class that is loaded at the offensive tackle position, and if Tua is going to do anything at the NFL level, the Dolphins have to upgrade along the offensive line.

There are only two tackles on the board worthy of being taken in the spot, Josh Jones had a tremendous week at the Senior Bowl, dominating in one on one drills.  He is a bit of a developmental player as he is not as polished as the tackles selected before him.

19. Las Vegas Raiders: CB, Kristian Fulton, LSU

Previous Pick: Kenneth Murray

The Las Vegas Raiders addressed their linebacker issues in free agency, finding key pieces in Cory Littleton and Nick Kwiatkoski, but lost in a bidding war for cornerback, Bryon Jones. They also made offers to Chris Harris and tried to trade for Darius Slay, but they eventually settled on signing Eli Apple.  Apple has starting experience but has been up and down throughout his career.

In 2019, Mayock made it a priority to bring in players with from programs with a tradition of winning.  Kristian Fulton excels as a physical, press man corner.  Over his final 25 games with the Tigers he registered 25 PBU’s, and would be an excellent compliment to youngster Trayvon Mullen in 2020.

20. Jacksonville Jaguars: CB, A.J. Terrell, Clemson

Previous Pick: Kristian Fulton

The Jacksonville Jaguars are in the midst of a rebuild.  There are many different positions they could address with this pick.  Left tackle and wide receiver will also get serious consideration at pick 20, but in this mock, they add to a cornerback spot that has seen their top two starters from last season go elsewhere.

Having already picked up Isaiah Simmons the run on cornerbacks continues with A.J. Terrell.  Terrell has the length teams covet and is very fluid in coverage.  His ball skills are very good, over the last two seasons he had five interceptions, including a pick six in the 2018 title game versus Alabama.
