29. Tennessee Titans: OT, Austin Jackson, USC
Previous Pick: Yetur Gross-Matos
Right tackle, Jake Conklin left town to join the Cleveland Browns leaving a massive need, and luckily, this draft class will yield starting offensive tackles even this late in round one. The Tennessee Titans want to continue to play a physical brand of football and that all starts in the trenches.
Austin Jackson is the sixth offensive tackle to come off the board in this mock draft. He is a work in progress but he isn’t even 21-years old yet. He has all the traits needed to play the position but might not be an immediate contributor early on.
30. Green Bay Packers: WR, Denzel Mims, Baylor
Previous Pick: Tee Higgins
Tackle, linebacker, and tight end are also high on the priority list but not as high as getting Aaron Rodgers another weapon besides Davonte Adams at the wide receiver position. Denzel Mims has ascended up draft maybe more than any prospect in this years draft after a standout week at the Senior Bowl and outstanding combine.
He is an athletic freak at 6’3, 207 pounds, runs a 4.38, has a vertical of 38.5 inches and broad jump of nearly 11 feet. The Packers made it all the way to the NFC title game with very little weapons for Rodgers, and with his window slowly starting to close, they cannot afford to do that again in the 2020 season.
31. San Francisco 49ers: WR, Brandon Aiyuk, Arizona State
Previous Pick: Grant Delpit
Emmanuel Sanders was a spark for the San Francisco 49ers offense when he was brought in last season at the trade deadline. However, Sanders hit free agency and signed with the New Orleans Saints, leaving the 49ers with a lack of talent at the position.
Deebo Samuel was a steal for the 49ers last year but Jimmy G needs another option. Brandon Aiyuk is similar to Samuel in that they are both great after the catch. He is one of the most exciting receivers in this deep class. He is very good in the screen game and on underneath routes but can get it done down the field as well.
32. Kansas City Chiefs: LB, Patrick Queen, LSU
Previous Pick: Trevon Diggs
The Kansas City Chiefs defense really turned it around down the stretch but if they want to sustain their success they need to add to the unit. They could use a playmaker at linebacker and corner. The way the board has fallen to this point Patrick Queen is the best player available and happens to fill a need.
Queen is your ideal modern day linebacker. He can run, cover, and blitz. He played his best ball in LSU biggest games, capped by winning defensive most valuable player in the national title game. The Chiefs have all the talent they need on the offensive side of the ball, and in Queen, they get a guy who could eventually be the leader of the defense.
