The beginning stages of free agency have come and gone as the Raiders have articulated a better understanding of which areas they may look to target come draft day.

The biggest discussion this offseason revolved around the landing spot of future Hall of Famer Tom Brady. That included the Las Vegas Raiders who were among the teams contemplating a potential Brady acquisition as they discussed some ballpark numbers before eventually pulling out of the free-agent race, according to The Athletic’s Vic Tafur.

As a result of shifting gears, the Raiders came to an agreement with former second overall pick Marcus Mariota. The 2014 Heisman Award Winner was highly praised by Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock during their well-thought-out evaluations as draft analysts prior to the 2015 NFL Draft. Now, the two former television stars have given Mariota a lucrative contract to be one of the highest-paid backups in the league in order to push Derek Carr in 2020.

Before free agency officially kicked off, Carr had received strong support from Gruden and Mayock at the NFL Combine when asked about his play or a possible replacement. Those comments were taken with a grain of salt as they’re not going to publicly disclose their future plans at quarterback but ultimately they appear to be moving forward with Carr under center this season.

Despite the fact that the Raiders already have two clear-cut quarterbacks on the roster for 2020, neither of their contracts indicate that they must remain on the roster in 2021 or beyond. With that said, the possibility of drafting a quarterback at some point during this year’s draft isn’t guaranteed but very well could happen.

Here are three quarterbacks the Raiders could target on day two of the NFL Draft.
