9. Ross Cockrell, Carolina Panthers

Ross Cockrell is an intriguing if unspectacular option for the Raiders to pursue. Cockrell has bounced around the league since being drafted in the fourth round by the Buffalo Bills in 2014 but played quite well with the Carolina Panthers in 2019.

The former Duke Blue Devil started 11 games for the Panthers, giving up a 55.2 completion percentage and allowing just a 68.6 passer rating. The Panthers defense struggled overall but were competent in pass defense and Cockrell was one of the reasons why they held up despite a tough second half of the season.

Cockrell is also on the right side of 30 and aside from a fractured left tibia and fibula in 2018, has been healthy in his short career, playing in at least 14 games in four of five seasons. There are reports that he may be returning to Carolina but he could be had for cheap and is not coming off a major injury like some other options on the list.
