Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders

It’s still too early to debate whether Gruden has hit or missed on his recent first-round picks in 2018 and 2019 but there are many reasons to believe those selections are on the trajectory to be serviceable players at the very least.

Gruden is known to be a quarterback guru but not once has he drafted one in the first round. His quarterback selections only include four signal-callers over his 13 years in the war room.

Big picture, Gruden has not hit on enough first-round picks to be considered a solid drafter. Now having general manager Mike Mayock alongside him on draft day could be just what it takes for Gruden to turn the corner and start capitalizing on more of his premium draft picks.
