1960s All-Decade Team

  • Bob Brown – Offensive Lineman, 1971-73 Oakland Raiders

The franchise did not join the NFL until the 1970 season so it is not surprising that they only have one player on the 1960’s All-Decade Team. Bob Brown was a member of the Raiders for three years in the early 1970s after a stellar seven years with the Eagles and Rams.

Brown was a six-time member of the NFL’s First-Team All Pro team and a seven-time Pro Bowler, including one selection as a member of the Raiders in 1971. He was also named the league’s Offensive Lineman of the Year three times during his glittering career.

While not a part of his pro football resume, Brown had an incredible college career with the Nebraska Cornhuskers that saw him selected second overall in the 1964 NFL Draft and fourth overall in the AFL Draft but chose to play in the NFL.
