The other bright spot in the 2010s which has now become more of a sore spot is linebacker/defensive end Khalil Mack. Oakland selected Mack fifth overall out of the University of Buffalo and after a solid rookie season he exploded on the scene in 2015 and became the first player in NFL history to be a First-Team All-Pro at two positions.

In four years with the team, Mack recorded 40.5 sacks, 68 tackles for loss, nine forced fumbles, and one interception that he memorably returned for a touchdown. Despite his brief stay in Oakland, Mack is fifth all-time in sacks and first in tackles for loss though both stats have not been recorded for the franchise’s entire history.

Mack appeared to be well on his way to being yet another defensive player to be enshrined in the Hall of Fame as a Raider but other factors came in to play and unfortunately he is plying his trade in Chicago these days. Who knows what the future will hold for Mack and perhaps he could make his return to the Silver and Black one day but Raider Nation can be secure in knowing that his place on this list was earned primarily in Oakland.
