Which top-ranked wide receiver should the Las Vegas Raiders select?
CeeDee Lamb would fit seamlessly into Jon Gruden’s offense. He is an extremely dynamic weapon on the outside, and his yards after catch ability is absolutely ridiculous. Last season at Oklahoma, Lamb averaged over 21 yards per catch. That is not something that happens often, even in the defense-less Big 12 Conference.
While he does not have the blazing straight-line speed of Ruggs, he has plenty of quickness and speed to be an elite NFL receiver. Lamb has elite ball skills, and his body control is exceptional.
Raiders quarterback Derek Carr loves throwing jump balls to his receivers, and Lamb is someone who excels at climbing the ladder and coming down with those balls. Lamb brushes off contact rather easily, and has extremely strong hands.
Lamb is just a natural receiver in every sense of the word. He makes adjustments on the fly that make scouts drop their jaws, is able to high-point the football without any issues, winning one-on-one battles almost every time. Lamb is also a proficient blocker, possessing the skill and the will to block when he is called upon.
The Oklahoma product also possesses a demeanor that fits perfectly with the Raiders. He is physical, aggressive, and wants to be the best. Lamb might be the best fit for Las Vegas, he seemingly was born to be a Raider.
