Terry McDaniel was a first-round pick, selected with the No. 9 overall selection out of Tennessee in the 1988 draft for the Los Angeles Raiders. And though he isn’t the first name that comes to your mind when you think of great Raiders cornerbacks, he was no doubt an excellent player for the silver and black.

McDaniel didn’t play much in his first season, but once he got his chance, he made the most of it. In his prime, which was from 1992 to 1996, he put up some staggering numbers. In those five years, he picked off 27 passes and took five of them for touchdowns proving to be one the better ball hawks in the league.

He also made the pro bowl every one of those five seasons, becoming a constant in the Raiders defensive backfield. Overall, he finished his career with 34 total interceptions, which are 3rd all-time in Raiders history, as he proved to be well worth the high draft pick the Raiders selected him with.
