Resume and Accolades

You would be hard pressed to find a more productive receiver over the last three seasons than CeeDee Lamb, especially when comparing him to the other top receivers in the class. Lamb’s 3,292 yards over are more than any other WR in the top five including Jerry Jeudy and Justin Jefferson, mostly because has been a starter for three years at Oklahoma which is a rarity.

Lamb was just the third freshman wide receiver to start a season opener in Oklahoma’s history which speaks to his maturity and talent. His 32 receiving touchdowns also lead the group and just add to an already impressive resume. His accolades include being named a Consensus All-American in 2019, being named First team All-Big 12, and was a finalist for the Biletnikoff award after his junior season.

In terms of measurables and combine numbers, Lamb’s do not pop off the screen but they give no cause for concern either. Lamb measures in at 6’1.5”, just under 200lbs, and his 40 time and vertical jump of 4.5 seconds and 34.5 inches are very good but not great. We know that measurables are not a guarantee of success but it is good to be able to cross them off as a concern.

Where Lamb really stands out is statistical production as we have discussed. His consistency suggests that he is no one-year wonder and he projects as a player that can come in and produce straight away. He is not a project by any means and is as polished a receiver as there is in the draft.
