Javon Kinlaw, DT, South Carolina
If Javon Kinlaw is available at pick 19, the Raiders could look to continue to build up their young defensive line with the addition of the 6’5, versatile defensive tackle. The Raiders’ defensive line is young and continuously improving, and although the defensive tackles on the team are not bad, they could use an interior pass rush.
Kinlaw would bring more versatility to the defensive tackle group, as he could slide to the outside and play on the edge as well. Kinlaw has a special skill set that none of the defensive tackles on the Raiders have, and to be honest, the only player at the position that will probably be on the team’s long term plans is Maurice Hurst.
Buckle up Raider Nation, because in a world that has been turned on it’s head, at least next week will bring some kind of normalcy with the 2020 NFL Draft. The Raiders have their needs, and there are elite players at the position groups they should be targeting, but you never know what is going to happen every time Roger Goodell opens his mouth.
