Heading into the 2020 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders appear to be set at the quarterback position, though things can change quickly.

For the sixth straight season, the Las Vegas Raiders organization rolled with Derek Carr as their starting quarterback, and he had a solid season statistically. Unfortunately for the Raiders, the losses continued to mount with Carr under center, prompting the fan base to call for his head in the team’s last game in Oakland.

Overall, Carr played well in his second season in Jon Gruden’s offense, and will look to lead the team as they enter their next chapter. The Raiders will be moving into a brand-new $2 billion building in Sin City, and the hope is that they can christen their new digs with a trip to the playoffs, something they have done only once in Carr’s career.

For the season, Carr posted his second straight 4,000-yard campaign, while connecting on 21 touchdowns against eight interceptions. He also finished second behind only Drew Brees in completion percentage, posting a mark of 70 percent, and was tenth in the league in QBR.

Carr has the talent to be a winner at the NFL level, and he finally has some stability in terms of the coaching staff. He is also loaded with talent around him, as running back Josh Jacobs and tight end Darren Waller are two of the best in the game at their positions, and the offensive line is one of the best in the conference.

Overall, the position group has to be viewed as a strength heading into 2020, but that really depends on who you talk to.
