New Additions

In 2019, the quarterback room was not a strength for this team, as they went into camp with guys like Mike Glennon and Nathan Peterman behind Carr. Since becoming the starter back in 2014, Carr really has had nobody pushing him for the starting job, but that will change this season, as the team brought in a former No. 2 overall pick.

Marcus Mariota will put on the Silver and Black after spending his entire career with the Tennessee Titans, a team he once led to a playoff victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on the road. Mariota’s career was halted with the strong play of Ryan Tannehill this past season, and after Tannehill led the Titans to the AFC title game, Mariota’s services were no longer needed in Tennessee.

He brings something special to this quarterback room, and he has the ability to make plays with both his arm, and his legs. In addition to Mariota, the team re-signed Peterman, who is a favorite of Jon Gruden, and they also have DeShone Kizer on the roster after adding him during the 2019 campaign.
