The Las Vegas Raiders can leverage the draft to address the wideout position, but this receiver-heavy class gives them options. Could the Raiders call Justin Jefferson’s name on draft night?

It’s not exactly a secret that one of if not the top priority for the Las Vegas Raiders going into next week’s draft is to find a wide receiver that can complement the existing weapons on offense. Josh Jacobs is the running back of the future, Darren Waller is a matchup nightmare at tight end, and Hunter Renfrow is quite literally the third-down conversion machine.

All that’s left is to find a number one wideout for Derek Carr to throw deep to.

With the 12th and 19th picks in their back pocket, and with Jerry Jeudy, Ceedee Lamb, and Henry Ruggs III topping the list of a heavy-receiver draft class, the odds are that one of those prospects will be donning the Silver and Black by the end of the night.

Or could Mike Mayock, always looking to maximize the draft capital he has, look elsewhere to fit that wide receiver need? Perhaps Mayock continues his search in the SEC, and has his sights on LSU’s Justin Jefferson?

The possibility is there for a reason and likely would involve the Raiders trading back in the first round to some capacity. If Las Vegas has their sights set on Jefferson, it’s likely that his resume and accomplishments make him a fit in the Raiders’ system.

With that mindset, here is our draft prospect profile on LSU’s Justin Jefferson.
