2020 NFL Draft: Complete first round mock delivers wideout to Raiders

The Jacksonville Jaguars have needs all over their roster, and there are rumors they could be looking to trade running back Leonard Fournette as well. While they could certainly go offense with one of their two first round picks, the selection here comes on the defensive side of the ball in the secondary.

They would have loved to see Derrick Brown fall to them with this pick, and they could consider Javon Kinlaw, but after Jeffrey Okudah and C.J. Henderson the talent at cornerback drops off dramatically. Having traded both of their starting corners from a year ago, they add Henderson to the mix to begin the rebuild on defense.

The Cleveland Browns signed Jack Conklin in free agency to help shore up the right tackle position but they still need another one to protect Baker Mayfield‘s blind side. Mekhi Becton has a massive frame at 364 pounds but has impressive movement skills for a man his size.  At the combine he ran a 5.10 forty.

Becton makes grown men look like rag dolls once he gets his hands on them.  He has extremely long arms he uses to his advantage, and out of all of the offensive tackle prospects in this draft, Ian Rapaport is saying that Becton is the most exciting of them all.

We now have a mini run on offensive tackles with three tackles going off the board in the last four picks. That is no big surprise, as this is a draft class loaded with talent at the tackle position, and one prospect really stood out at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Tristan Wirfs absolutely destroyed the combine with a 4.68 forty, 36.5 inch vertical jump, 10 foot broad jump, and 24 reps on the bench all at the weight of 320 pounds. The word “twitchy athlete” isn’t often used to describe offensive tackles but in this case it fits. Due to his lack of length some scouts believe he could eventually make the move inside to guard, but with the Jets, he starts as a tackle.

The dream scenario for the Las Vegas Raiders happens here with their first of two first round picks. In our latest full first round mock, the Raiders have their choice of all of the elite wide receivers available in this draft class.

Despite immense pressure from the fan base and fellow mock drafters to select Oklahoma’s CeeDee Lamb, I am standing my ground and selecting Alabama’s Jerry Jeudy.  Throughout the draft process I have had Jeudy as the pick and I will not waiver.

Jeudy may have had some issues with focus drops over the middle but he makes up for it with his elite ability to run routes and uncover anywhere he wants to.He is the game-changer the Raiders offense has been missing for years.
