The 2020 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday night with the Las Vegas Raiders picking twice in the first round. Here is how you can catch the action.

The 2020 NFL Draft will begin this week and is one of the most anticipated sporting events right now. Here is all the info you need to catch every pick from number one to Mr. Irrelevant, including the Las Vegas Raiders two first round picks.

The NFL Draft is usually one of the top events of the spring sports calendar usually because there is not much else going on. NCAA March Madness just wrapped up, the MLB regular season is still in it’s infancy, and the NBA playoffs, while very exciting, are still in the first round where the less compelling matchups take place.

This year however due to the COVID-19 pandemic shutting down all live sporting events, the anticipation around the NFL Draft has reached a fever pitch. If sports fans are treating a scripted documentary like it’s game 7 of the NBA Finals then imagine the buzz around an event where no one knows what the outcome.

Add to this desperation for action is the intrigue around the new format where teams will be making all of their selections remotely via web conference instead of from a war room at the team facilities.

For Raiders fans, there will be plenty of interest and excitement as this will the team’s first draft of the Las Vegas era. When is the NFL Draft?

  • Round 1 will begin on Thursday, April 23rd at 8 p.m. ET.
  • Rounds 2-3 will begin on Friday, April 24th at 7 p.m. ET.
  • Rounds 4-7 will begin on Saturday, April 25th at 12 p.m. ET.

The NFL has turned the first three rounds of the draft in to primetime TV and with the Raiders currently owning five picks in rounds one and three, there will be plenty of reasons to tune in. Rumors are swirling that the Raiders are trying to either trade up or down to secure a second-round pick so there should be plenty of wheeling and dealing as well.

Where is the NFL Draft taking place?

As all Raiders fans know the NFL Draft was scheduled to take place in Las Vegas and was going to be an official introduction of sorts for the Las Vegas Raiders. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the draft is going to be 100% virtual which should make things very interesting. There are rumors that the 2022 NFL Draft may take place in Las Vegas because of the cancellation of this year’s event.

Teams will be making selections via web conference and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will be announcing each selection from his home. Cameras have been sent to several top prospects so we will still get to see their reactions live to being selected. This will be a surreal experience but should be a great time.

How can I watch the NFL Draft?

The NFL Draft will be televised on three networks, ESPN, ABC, and the NFL Network from start to finish. The networks are going to be working together due to the unique circumstances around this year’s edition of the draft and you will see all of the familiar faces covering the selections.

Can I live stream the NFL Draft?

There are a number of options for streaming the NFL Draft including the WatchESPN app, the NFL Mobile app, or on several live streaming services such as Fubo TV, YouTube TV, Sling TV, or ESPN+.
