The Las Vegas Raiders selected Henry Ruggs and Damon Arnette with their first round picks in the NFL Draft. Did the Silver and Black nail the picks?

This year’s NFL Draft is extremely important for the future of the Las Vegas Raiders. General manager Mike Mayock and head coach Jon Gruden laid the foundation for the roster with the 2019 draft class and added a handful of key pieces in free agency last month.

Heading into the 2020 NFL Draft, there were holes that needed to be addressed on both sides of the ball, and they certainly did that with their two first round picks. The Raiders needed help at wide receiver on offense, and cornerback on defense, and that was exactly where Mayock and Gruden targeted.

As they enter Day 2, they do not have a second round pick, but they will pick three times in a 12-pick span, holding pick No. 80, 81, and 91. Of course, they could try to move picks and get into the second round, but they may have blown that opportunity by staying at No. 19 last night.

Let us dive into the selections from Round 1.
